Our Coordinators

The coordinators are employees of the Natural Resources Police who function as reserve officer supervisors. As NRP employees they are reserve officer's liaison to the police agency. Not only are they in the chain of the command coming down from the NRP Colonel, but also they are the connection to the public for organizing events in which the public would like to see representatives of the Natural Resources Police.

Historically, we have had up to five coordinators, but currently there is only one coordinator for the entire state. That gives our only coordinator, Anna Dahlstrom, a tremendous work load.

Anna Dahlstrom

Anna Dahlstrom began her career as a Reserve Officer in 2017, in 2023 she was hired as the MD NRP Reserve Officer Coordinator for the Southern and Eastern Regions. At present she is the Reserve Officer Coordinator for the entire state of Maryland. Anna is a certified Maryland Search Team Member, a Lead Boating Instructor for Open and Closed Waters, and a Health and Safety Institute (HSI) for CPR, Stop the Bleed, and First Aid. Anna created NRP's Raptor Capture program and has a team of over 50 Reserve Officers ready to be on call to respond to emergency raptor call outs.

Anna was a 5th grade teacher prior to being hired as the MD NRP Reserve Officer Coordinator. She majored in Environmental Studies with a minor in education during her college career, and was an avid field hockey and lacrosse player. In her free time she enjoys gardening, fishing, boating, hunting, bee keeping, and tending to her poultry flock.
